Body Discovered In Portsmouth This Morning
Just after 9:45 this morning a body of a male was discovered in a ditch on Russell Ave. This is in the area of Dorman Drive. It seems the body may have been discovered by a Portsmouth City Worker.
The Portsmouth Police Department responded to the scene along with EMS. A canopy was set up to help preserve the scene and allow detectives to investigate.
What follows is a transcript of the radio traffic as the event unfolded.

Dorman and Daniels. I have a male in a ditch, appears to be a code 13.
EMS:
Are they on Dorman, or are they on Daniels?
Dispatch:
She said when you come off of Dorman onto Daniels, that little cutoff right there. It’s a city worker up there.
PPD:
It’s going to be on Russel. 121, also is on Russel Road. Russel Road.
PPD:
Copy. Our canopy is MIA. I’m trying to locate that real quick.
PPD:
We got it.
We received our daily briefing from the Portsmouth Police Department. As of now, the investigation remains open and no identification has been made public. SCDN will continue to follow the story and update as we have more information.
