Two Men With Guns
At 12:43 am, a caller reported two men with guns arguing in Bannon Park. Officers could not locate them.
Drugs & Violence
Just before 1 am, a Thomas Avenue caller reported a man beating a woman and the woman calling for help.
When officers arrived and read the man his rights, he claimed not to understand. Police administered Narcan. They confirmed an adult parole warrant on the man and arrested him.
Pay No Attention To The Man Behind The Sink
At 2:32 am, an Alexandria House caller reported someone walking behind his sink. He also believed someone or something was turning off his outlets.
Police didn’t observe anything at the scene.
Under The Influence
- At 5:36 am, a caller reported a man unresponsive in a vehicle at the Marathon on the Scioto Trail. Police woke the man up.
- Officers were called to the Woodbine Apartments just after 11 am for a report of a man flopping around by the dumpster. It turned out to be a woman but she appeared to be all right.
- Police impounded 2 bags of drugs discovered in a bathroom just after 9:30 pm.
Sound Asleep
The Holiday Inn requested a welfare check on an employee who didn’t show up to work and wasn’t answering his phone. Turns out he was just a sound sleeper.
Slasher Stays Silent
Police responded to a report of a wanted man at the Four Keys Inn at 6:40 am. A caller said a man who goes by Slasher had heroin and fentanyl with him. They also said he had warrants.
Officers read him his rights, but he chose to remain silent. After a search, officers detained a man and woman and collected items for impound.
Family Feud
A Ritchie Street mom called police to report her husband won’t let her have their kids at 10:30 am. The parents are in the process of a divorce, but nothing has been finalized.
They agreed to verbal terms while the police were there.
Five Shots Fired
At 1:23 pm, a caller reported five gunshots fired on Mabert Road. The caller said several people ran into a nearby home.
The homeowner said the shots came from the logging road and that no one in the home fired a shot. A witness reported a man in a lime green coat fired the shots. The officers saw no sign of hunting or deer around the home. They stayed around for a bit listening for more shots.
Hiding In The Bathroom
A woman called the police to report her ex broke into her apartment. She said he followed her into the apartment and she was currently hiding in the bathroom.
The man left and officers took a report.
DOA
Officers responded to Summit Street at 9:21 pm for a report of a deceased woman. A family member went to check on her and discovered the body.
Police contacted the coroner who sent transport. Officers took information for a report.
