1 Caller Reports Murder Suspect at Speedway

A Speedway customer thought they spotted a murder suspect in the checkout line at the Speedway on Gallia.

The caller thought the person resembled Anthony Kearns, the man suspected in the murder of two men last weekend.

When officers caught up with the vehicle, they did not find Kearns. However, they did cite the driver for their window tint.

Officially, Kearns remains at large.

Police have emphasized that the suspect should not be approached or engaged.

If you have any information on his whereabouts, please contact the Portsmouth Police Department.

2 Squatter Moves Into Shed When Owner Goes on Vacation

Just after 7:30 pm, an Edgewood Drive caller contacted Portsmouth Police to report some suspicious activity.

She said her neighbors were out of town, and she had spotted someone trying to get into their shed. When police arrived on the scene, they discovered someone had been living in the shed.

Officers contacted the homeowners in Florida, and they said no one had permission to be in the shed. Police checked the house with a person who had a key, and it appeared no one had been inside.

The owner said they would check the shed later to determine if anything was missing.
