Dog Dies after Animals Abandoned and Abused on Jackson Avenue
Just after 9 am, officers discovered a disturbing scene at a Jackson Avenue home. A caller reported that residents had moved away and left dogs behind.
An officer discovered a dead dog in the backyard that appeared to have been there for some time. Police contacted the landlord of the property who gave them permission to go inside the home.
The tenants had changed the locks, so police had to force their way into the home.
Police discovered three dogs and a kitten inside the home. The animals were missing fur due to a severe flea infestation and the home was filled with animal feces.
Animal Control took the kitten and dogs into custody.
Caught in the Act
An officer caught two people having sex in a vehicle in the 2000 block of Thomas Avenue shortly after 9 am. An officer advised them not to do it again.
The man who owned the vehicle didn’t have a driver’s license, so officers advised him to find a licensed driver to get his vehicle off PMHA property ASAP.
Tracy Park Problems
When officers checked Tracy Park just before 2 am, they discovered a man they frequently have issues with there. He said he was just heading to the blessing box to get some food. Officers advised him to leave and he complied.
Domestic Disturbance
Police received a hang-up call just after 2 am and attempted to call back several times before responding to the location. They discovered a man and woman arguing over her telling him she was pregnant. He wanted to leave but she wouldn’t get out of his car.
He left and the issue was settled for the night.
