Drug-Addled Woman Harasses Speedway Customers
Speedway’s problem with aggressive panhandlers doesn’t seem to be getting any better.
Just after 9 pm, officers received a report of a woman staggering around the lot and harassing customers.
Police caught up with the woman at the Express Oil Change across the street and took her into custody for disorderly conduct.
Overdose Victim Springs Back To Life, Runs For The Hills
Just before 10 pm, a caller reported a man overdosing in a 9th Street Apartment. The caller said that despite the fact that the man had received two doses of Narcan, he was not coming around.
A few minutes later, a witness called back and said the man had not only come around; he felt good enough to take off running from the scene. She could not provide a name for the victim.
High Times at Woodbine Apartments
At 8:38 am, a caller reported a suspicious blue Blazer parked near a dumpster at the Woodbine Apartments. The witness said a man inside the vehicle appeared to be high.
Officers got the man’s permission to search the vehicle and then took him into custody. Police arranged to have the vehicle towed.
Deputies Bust Down Door To Save Man After Overdose
Deputies and EMS personnel responded to a McDermott Home after a woman reported a possible overdose. She said her husband had been locked in the bathroom for thirty minutes and was not responding.
A deputy and a member of the fire department forced their way into the bathroom with the wife’s permission.
The man had overdosed, but they were able to revive him without Narcan. He refused transport to the hospital.
