Family Reports Attack at Dollar General

A woman contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office just after 8:30 pm to report that a group of people attacked her and her parents after an argument at the Wheelersburg Dollar General and then fled the scene in a van.

Officers were given an address for the suspects and began an investigation, interviewing several individuals involved in the altercation.

However, the next day, the victims contacted officers and said they no longer wished to press charges.

Man on the Run Tries to Sell Stolen Tools

A man on the run allegedly tried to sell stolen goods to a Sciotoville family. Just after 10 pm, a caller reported that a relative was in their driveway in a truck and refusing to leave.

When officers spoke to the family, they learned the relative was a long-time drug user who told them he was on the run from the police. He had attempted to sell them some valuable tools that they believed to be stolen.

Officers took information for a report.
