FedEx Truck & Motorcycle Involved in Serious Accident
A motorcycle and FedEx truck were involved in a collision on Tuesday around 2:35 p.m. on Ohio State Route 125 in the 9200 block. There is a building supply store in this vicinity (the old Grafco plant).
The motorcycle driver is a local resident, according to initial reports. Upon arriving at the scene, emergency personnel reported that he was awake and alert after having briefly been unconscious.
Sources on the scene reported that the victim suffered an open fracture of the hip. The victim was airlifted from a landing zone set up at the Nile Township office and recreation area.
Nile Township Fire and Rescue responded along with Washington Township and law enforcement
Initially, there were no reported injuries to the FedEx driver. However, about an hour later, they asked about an ETA for a second ambulance.
Route 125 is operating with one lane only at this hour.
