1. Fugitives Busted at Pizza Hut
Just before 4 pm, officers responded to a report of an apparently high man and woman lying in the grass behind Pizza Hut on the Scioto Trail.
When officers responded to the scene, they discovered the woman had an open warrant through the Sheriff’s Office, and the man was wanted by the Waverly PD.
Officers transported the man to the county line to hand him over to the Waverly Police.
2. Man Arrested For Assault
At 1 am on Tuesday, officers responded to a 10th Street home for a report of a man banging on a door with a crowbar because his girlfriend wouldn’t come out.
The man took off when officers arrived, and they briefly took him into custody before giving him a ride out of the area.
On Wednesday, police were back on the scene when the woman reported her boyfriend assaulted her. Police caught up with him in Tracy Park and took him into custody for domestic violence and probation violation.
