Jeffrey Scott Sparks, 64 of West Portsmouth, died Monday, March 13, 2023 at SOMC Hospice. He was born October 18, 1958 in Portsmouth, to the late Willis Sparks and Delores Brannon Howard.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Shai Sparks, 5 brothers; Edward Sparks, Steve Sparks, Rick Sparks, Timothy Sparks and Dean Sparks along with a sister Kathy Royster.

Scott was the Owner and Operator of Scott Sparks Drywall. He was a lover of West Football and the Cincinnati Bengals. He also loved fishing and Coon hunting.

Scott is survived by a son, Scotty Sparks, 2 daughters: Katelyn (Tyler) Cantrell and Angie Lockhart ( Jack Tackett), a brother Jesse Howard, 2 sisters: Tina Rice (Tim McGraw) and Wendy (Terry) Taylor, 5 grandchildren: Haisley Cantrell, Christian (Crystal) Lockhart, Kaleigh Lockhart, Isaiah Humble and Brianna Humble, 4 great grandchildren: Grayson Reed, Malachi Reed, Abel Gerald, and Eliott Lockhart, his former, wife Kima Sparks along with several nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to SOMC Hospice in Scott’s name.
