Man Disrupts Church Services 

Just before 9 pm, a member of Rarden Community Church flagged down a deputy to report a man had come into the church and disrupted the service.  

Witnesses said the man might be at a nearby residence. Officers spoke to the man and discovered he had an open warrant with the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office.

Stolen Fed Ex Van Found at Hospital 

The Chillicothe police asked Portsmouth officers to check the lot at SOMC for a stolen Fed Ex Van at 11:30 am.  

Officers discovered the vehicle and sent for a tow truck to retrieve it.

Man Arrested on Assault and Immigration Charges 

Officers arrested a man indicted on felonious assault and domestic violence charges as well as immigration charges after he was indicted by a Scioto County Grand Jury. 

Joel Salcedo, 22, was initially arrested back in late December on charges of felonious assault and domestic violence. At the time, he was put on an immigration detainer, but he only spent 3 days in jail before his release.  

After the indictment, went looking for Salsedo on Gallia Street and Vinton Avenue before taking him into custody on Friday evening.  

He’s scheduled to face a judge on March 15.

Beer Drinker Starts Fight at Taco Bell 

Just before 11 am, witnesses reported a man holding a beer was attempting to get people to fight him at the Taco Bell on Galli Street.  

Officers caught up with the man in front of Big Lots. He refused medical treatment, and officers saw no signs of substance abuse.  

They served him with a trespass order from Taco Bell and let him go.
