A woman stopped a Portsmouth Police Officer just after 8 am to complain about some meth she purchased. She told the officer she thought her dealer had mixed other drugs in with the meth and wanted an officer to test the drug.
She also requested an ambulance. Officers sent for one, and it transported her to the hospital. Police waited with her bicycle until City Service could come to pick it up.
Tweaker Breaks Into 18th Street Shed
An 18th Street neighbor caught a burglar in the act just before 11:30 am. They spotted a woman they described as a “tweaker” breaking into the shed of a home. When Officers arrived on the scene they took the woman into custody.
Twelve hours later, a High Street resident spotted someone messing around in an attempt to get into their home. They let their dog out, and the person fled, jumping a back fence to get away.
Half an hour later an 18th Street caller reported a man and woman walking up and down the alley looking at cars. The caller threatened to go outside with a baseball bat and said police might need to send a squad.
The pair left the area after a neighbor warned them off.
