Mom Calls Cops After Daughter Doesn’t Respond to Texts
A concerned mom wasn’t going to take “no response” for an answer. She contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office just before 2 am to request they check on her daughter. She said the woman had recently gone through a breakup and didn’t want to talk to her.
The mother had contacted On-Star and tracked the daughter’s car to her workplace. She said she texted the daughter a few minutes previously and she asked that she leave her alone.
Officers didn’t find the vehicle at the reported location, but a dispatcher did call the woman and let her know her mother was trying to find her. A few minutes later, the mother notified officers that her daughter had called her father and told him she was fine.
Officers Referee New Boston Domestic Dispute
Portsmouth Police Officers found themselves refereeing a New Boston domestic dispute after a man flagged them down just after midnight.
Officers followed him home and stood by while the female half retrieved her belongings. Neither party had any injuries, and neither wanted to file charges.
Carpet Shampooing at 3 am
An unusual noise complaint came into PPD just after 3 am. When police went to Sterling Avenue to investigate, they discovered the residents were shampooing their carpet. They said they were moving soon and trying to get the place cleaned up.
Officers advised them about the noise complaint.
