Officers Search For 2 Suicidal Women
Portsmouth Police Officers launched a search for a woman after witnesses reported she’d threatened to harm herself before leaving on foot with a razor blade in her possession.
Police caught up with the woman at 4th and Union and sent for a rescue squad to take the woman to the hospital for treatment.
Police went looking for another woman in crisis about an hour later after a local crisis center reported she left before they could get a safety plan in place for her.
Officers caught up with her at 3rd and Offnere. She told them she was fine, she just no longer wanted to stay at the crisis center.
