Ronald Edwin Hiles, 84 of McDermott died Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born January 18, 1937, in McDermott during the ‘37 flood to the late Joseph and Mabel Ruth Graham Hiles.
He was the owner and operator of Hiles Ashland Gas Station and Wrecker Service on the corner of McDermott Pike and 104. He loved guns, Coca-Cola, and Bluegrass music.
Edwin is survived by 2 sons; Ronald Edwin (Jonni) Hiles II and Graham Henry Hiles, a daughter, Tonia Jane Jenkins-Hiles, 5 grandchildren; Tiffany (Ryan) Meeks, Travis (Megan) Hall, Jeremiah Jenkins, Jonathan Matthew Kirby Hiles, and Ronald Michael Kirby Hiles, 3 great-grandchildren; Tristan Hall, Marissa Hall, and Madison Meeks, a brother, Randy Hiles, a special niece, Tammy Fraley Baez, his ex-wife, Donna Breitenbach, and his dog, Duke, along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Daron Lilly and Carl Pertuset officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday starting at 3:00 PM. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
