1. Semi Hits Pedestrian in Rarden 

Deputies and EMS responded to Main Street in Rarden after a semi hit a pedestrian just after 7:30 am. Dispatch notified OSP, who also responded to the scene. 

When an ambulance arrived on the scene, they determined the victim was having issues breathing and checked on the availability of an air ambulance. However, the weather was too bad to fly.  

OSP Troopers handled the accident report. 

2. Crash Take Out Power Pole on St. Rt. 73 

Just before 3 pm, officers responded to St. Rte. 73 after a car took out a power pole.  

The impact broke the pole in half and knocked down the transformer. Dispatch contacted AEP, and the company said they’d have a crew there within 30 minutes. 

AEP dispatched a crew at 4:30 pm, after an electric pole caught fire on Slate Run Road. They responded within 25 minutes.
