Woman Asks Police To Arrest Her For Drinking

Officers received an unusual request from a woman on Thursday morning. She asked the police to come pick her up at her in-laws and take her into custody so she could sober up.

The woman said she’d been drinking at her in-laws’ home and had started an argument but didn’t feel safe. Though she later told an officer that she had overreacted and had decided to just sleep it off.

Deputies spoke with her father-in-law, who said that the family had been drinking and had said some stupid things. He said everyone still loved everybody and planned to sleep it off.
