Four Portsmouth Police Units responded to a call regarding a woman who was, reportedly, screaming at traffic on the corner of Robinson and Offnere.
The officers finally had to take the woman into custody after nearly 15 minutes of her refusing to identify herself. The woman was arrested for disorderly conduct and failing to provide identification.
This should have been the end of the story, but law enforcement still had more in store from the 29-year-old.
When she arrived at the jail, she continued to be very combative and would not follow instructions.
Her search before entering the jail led to her punching an officer “in the genitals”.
He was assisted by other officers who subdued the overactive detainee.
This was her first arrest in Scioto County.
